On the 1st January 2020 we were 10 Years old!

By the end of 2020 will be approaching 300 weddings, it's been an amazing first decade for us and we'd love to work with you in the new one!

We are Staffordshire Wedding photographers based in Burntwood who specialise in contemporary Wedding and Portrait photography providing a professional service but with a natural and relaxed style.

I've lived in Staffordshire all my life and now live in Burntwood with my two sons and wife Jules, who is also my business partner and second wedding photographer. We have a very inquisitive cat called Loki who likes to come say "Hi" during meetings and generally try and be the talking point!

Having been a keen amateur photographer throughout all of my high school days, I decided to study it to improve my skills and enable me to take my hobby to a more professional level.

Julie on the other hand, discovered photography through me! Initially just the 'business head' of Redlock Photography, we decided it would also be a good idea for her to try her hand at the more practical side. As it turns out, she actually has a natural eye for it and after much (and ongoing) training, is now second photographer for the majority of weddings that we do.
No-one can tell from looking at our photos who took what, so I think I've trained her well! :-) This now means that we can literally be in two places at once, which for weddings especially has been a godsend!

People often ask where the name 'Redlock Photography' came from so here's the story....I first got into photography at the age of 10 when my grandad bought me my first camera. As my passion grew over the following years, he was always there to provide words of encouragement and I can honestly say that I don’t think I would be doing what I am today if it wasn’t for him. ‘Redlock’ was the name of the Lichfield cul-de-sac that my grandad lived in for over 40 years and the place that I will always associate with him, so when he passed away I decided to name my business ‘Redlock Photography’ as a tribute to a man who helped me so much.

Thanks for taking the time to read about us.
